Better late than never, here is my IF submission for the topic of Stitch.
I’ll be back to crafty-ness in the next few days. I had a brilliant inspiration for something cool to make out of my stripey sweaters, along the lines of the other recycled sweater projects. Now I just have to work up how to do it. And camera charger is still MIA, but I’m guaranteed to find it any minute because I just ordered a new one off of Amazon!
Without further ado, here’s the sketch. I like her – would love opinions on which of the 2 versions works better.
The Process for this one:
Detailed Pencil sketch, cleaned up, darkened, vectorized.
Colored in Photoshop.

oh she is so mysterious….great colour for the mood….
Cheers,
Diana
second one, without the glowing background. it works better, i dont know why but it does. nice illo all round. and thanks for the comment too..
Interesting take on this weeks topic. I like!
Thanks for visiting and your kind words!
Fantastic color and line work. Great work!
Very nice – I think the one with the colored background works best – the background really warms up the picture and “finishes”it for me.
Nice work! I prefer the top one. Seems more complete and draws me in more.
thanks for the feedback!
What a doll!
Love this! I think the second one helps the image stand out a bit better. I do like the black eyes in the first one though. Nice job on this one! Thanks for your comments on my illo. Keep up the good work!
Very cool drawing! Hate to be so non-committal, but I like them both for different reasons.
I like how the first one pops and the warmth and added interest of the background.
The second one I like because of the more subdued line, and overall subtlety. Very delicate, and maybe also, because she has red hair, which is totally a personal thing.
Oh my! She’s wonderful! I’m new to your blog (thanks for visiting me!) and I’ll say, I’m very impressed. how I wish I could draw like that. :)
Also, curious about your yogurt trials!
cheers
Nice!
I prefer the second one, less focus on the background.
I the top. The degree of darkness contributes to the mood of this piece.
Very nice idea!
Very nice! I like both of the images, the soft background in the first and the softer details on the girl in the second. Great work!
