A "Late" Illustration Friday

[21 Oct 2008 | By | No Comment | 2,057 views ]

Appropriate topic at IF, as it is Tuesday, not last Friday. At the request of those who asked for a happier version of the marionette dancer.. She’s late too, but she doesn’t care, she’s found a frog!

Hopeful

I think I actually like here ‘sadder’ better though. Or at least the looseness of this drawing.
Last week‘s:

  • INDIGENE :

I’ve always thought of puppets and marionettes as sad. They’re sort of haunting! Lovely line work.

  • yoon see :

I love both version, the sad and the happy one.
As you know dot, we all have emotion.
So it’s not bad to have a bad day,
think positively, tomorrow will always be so much better!
By the way, you have a good pencil technique here.
    I better practise on mine.

  • Bella Sinclair :

Oh, cool! This little marionette who’s broken free is really charming. I love both versions, but this week’s version has a dramatic contrast that’s just awesome.

So much Halloween fun on your blog!
