IF: Contained (Not your average Dot robot)

So sorry for being MIA this weekend. I apparently caught a little bug, but I’m better now. So for Illustration Friday this week, I give you not your average Dot robot (yes, a tad sexier and slinkier), contained, as comic art typically is, in a box.
I love the sketch, but I’ve recolored her 3 times trying to get the right feel –she seems a little too sterile. Still may try another idea.

I like the warmth and texture of the bottom version. On the other hand, robots are generally sterile, aren’t they? Why take it out.

Oh, I love #2 – it’s more. . .um. . . oh I don’t know, character. #1 is everything a sexy girl robot should be, but #2 – come on – she’s got gusto!!

Well, that was a clever idea for Contained! If I had to pick a favorite, I would say the bottom one because of the colors :)
Hope you’re feeling better now. I love the second one best – the colours and textures and generally the more free sketchy feel. It’s great.
