Crafty Cthulhu Says: “Stop SOPA”!

stop-sopa-cthulhu
Sorry for the inconvenience of no Dabbled yesterday, but I feel very strongly that we need to get the word out to stop the SOPA and PIPA proposals, so we joined with many other sites to go dark to highlight the problem. More info: Internet blackout day is over, but we still need to stop SOPA. Yesterday I posted this to Twitter, but since we’re back up today, I’m sharing it here too! Feel free to pirate this image for use in getting the word out!

Dabbled is Dark Today

Dabbled, like Wikipedia, Boing Boing, and many other sites today, has gone dark from January 18, 2012 at 8:00 am until January 18, 2012 at 8:00 pm to protest SOPA/PIPA and Internet Censorship. All it takes is people who don’t understand what they are doing (ie our representatives) doing something dumb in the name of trying to stop piracy, and ruining it for everyone. Proposed US Senate legislation — the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA)– would put… Read on...

Besides being an all around good time, Dragoncon is also a great place to get inspiration for Halloween costumes, like the REAL Iron Man !>> I’ll also be on the lookout for cool artists…. so stay tuned. Some past DragonCon posts: Read on...

Excuse the Progress! Making changes around here…

Excuse the Progress! Making changes around here...
Since I’m a web designer, it’s pretty sad that I haven’t kept up my own blog up as nice as some of the ones I work on! I’ve been meaning to clean up the look of Dabbled for a while now, and I’m finally getting around to making some changes to the look and feel. I haven’t quite figured out the final direction, but for right now, I’ve mostly been just cleaning up the site look, going for a more streamlined feel with more white space. I also stuck up a modified logo.
so stay tuned,… Read on...
