Craft (print version) RIP, and more

I love the Craftzine blog – (yeah, you may have seen Dabbled there a few times). You may have heard by now that Craft magazine is ditching their print version and going to all online. Sad in a way (because I love the physical lovelies on paper) but they are going to be expanding their online content and that looks to be really cool.
So I’m sure they will continue to provide tons of inspiration to us indie crafters out there!

So if you never subscribed — I adore the mag, but I’m guilty as charged, though I subscribed Handy Hubby to (the related publication) Make which I also adore –, you can pick up the boxed sets of years 1 and 2 for really good prices right now (I just ordered myself Year 2). (Hint to anyone wanting to buy me things, Year 1 would be nice too!) I also linked to one of the Make: boxed sets. A great guy gift (…hmmm, my anniversary is coming up!)

Oh, and thanks to Whip Up for linking to two of the Dabbled Valentine Projects: The free squidee valentine download and the Make a Felt Pin tutorial!

Also, from earlier, in case you missed it:

Just a few more hours to get those submissions in! This is the last day to get in your entries for the Anti-Valentines Day contest. Go check out the Dabbled flickr pool for a quick look at some of the entries. Need motivation? Go check out the prizes from our lovely sponsors! You have until Midnight tonight, Eastern US Time.

Handmade Help is helping the victims of the Australian bushfires by getting creators of handmade items to donate the proceeds of an item or their store to the relief efforts. (via WhipUp)
Go check ’em out. And buy something or donate something!

I decided to donate something, so I’m auctioning off one of the Squidee original watercolors (“Ethel“)- Go here for the Ebay auction, and bid! Auction ends Feb-19-09. Starts at 99 cents — all proceeds go to the relief effort — and I’ll pay the shipping. So if you wished you had gotten in on the Valentine’s art bargain, but missed it, here’s your chance! Pass it on — if you don’t want to bid on this, there are a ton of other things on ebay and etsy donating proceeds, just check the link Handmade Help link for more.
