My Tarot Card for the Super Punch 3 year Anniversary
And it’s perfect for today’s Illustration Friday: Brave. Doesn’t this king look Brave and True? You know he had to be a robot.
About the project at Super Punch:
So, about this project. I wanted to do something special for the third anniversary of Super Punch, and three weeks or so ago, the idea popped into my head of inviting my favorite artists to create tarot cards.
See all the fabulous cards thus far at Super Punch. There are some incredibly cool ones, from some very cool artists, and I’m honored to be part of the… Read on…
Goodnight Forest Moon
I literally squealed when I saw this at Superpunch this morning…
Noah Dziobecki created a dead on Star Wars-themed version of Goodnight Moon, called Goodnight Forest Moon. You can download the book here.
The Boy loved Goodnight Moon when he was little, and now he’s completely into Star Wars in all it’s forms. So this is totally cool. You can download a pdf of the book, and he gives very detailed instructions on how to print and make your own version.

I’ll Sail this Ship of Gnomes.
For my Illustration (not quite) Friday, this is my take on ‘adrift’..
I’ve always loved The Beautiful South (and the Housemartins before), but when we hear I’ll Sail this Ship Alone, my sweetie and I like to say “Sail this Ship of Gnomes”.. not quite sure how it started, but that’s why we have a lovely little sketch of a ship of gnomes for your perusal today.

Art Class – The process for IF “Focused”
I’ve been such a slacker on drawing lately, sorry… I’ve been working on Foodwhirl (Go check it out..)!
For Illustration Friday today (yeah, I know it’s actually Sunday), I decided to work on a logo design for a friend’s organic food business. She’s a very focused person, and I thought this illo had a very focused look to it! Here’s the design, and also, the steps I did to come up with it! (They are similar to the process I used for the black & whites recently.)
Finished prototype:
So, wanna follow along with the process? … Read on…
The Little Game Box
Here’s a great little stocking stuffer you can make yourself. My 4 year old played a game similar to this* at grandma’s over Thanksgiving, and loved it, so I thought a pocket version would be a great little ‘handmade’ Christmas gift. I’ve included (almost) everything you need to make one for yourself as free downloads! Just grab the file, print, and add your own Altoids tin for a cute little gift that fits perfectly in a stocking! This freebie is a present for you, my readers, because if I didn’t have you, there wouldn’t be much point to this. … Read on…
Illustration Friday – “Hatch”
A couple of fun little doodles for you (and IF)…
First is a little monster/alien I’ve been doodling lately, hatching from his egg! Second is the little monster, in holiday mode! Which do you like better?
Free Download of the Santa Monster, if you’d like to use it for holiday cards or crafting! Just click through to flickr and download it there.
