There are some neat entries in the Rubber Band Powered contest over at instructables. I really like the Altoids Tin Air Car, and the Table Top Pinball Game. And of course, while you’re looking at the neat stuff, but sure to vote for mine (the Car Launcher… it’s the 6th one in this list)
Wanna build this? Go check out the instructable here.

You know you want to… Go check out the instructable here. (Uh, and sweetie, darling, dear child… please keep it on the ground, and away from the glass window panes, okay?) Thanks Handy Hubby for helping to make my latest crazy vision a reality! Oh yeah, and I’ll remind you that you have to go vote for it (if you like it of course…but remember I REALLY need a fifth instructables t-shirt.) on 4/20. edit: if you like this, go VOTE for it! (it’s the 7th one in this list, i think)

This is a fun and easy project, costs less than $1 to make, has tons of possibilities for customization, requires no jewelry making skill or real tools, and is a way to recycle stuff that would be thrown away! What could be better??
This was inspired by something I used to do when I was a kid back in the eighties, make friendship bracelets out of fishing tackle (specifically a barrel swivel). You can buy these anywhere they sell fishing gear – I paid 99cents for a pack of 12 and didn’t even use them all.
I combined that with my love…

Skitzophrenic post here, but I wanted to get one more Octopus out for Cepholopod Week.
And I also have a new instructable up, on how to make a totally easy, kid-veggie-friendly, inexpensive soup – Carrot Vichyssoise…
So here he is — “Cedric”… But I also need an opinion.. I didn’t ink him like I’ve been doing (see others) just darkened the pencil outline. Like? Not as good?
Would love some feedback on this.
So the second thing is the soup… It has some great things going for it:
1. Sounds fancy! and French! Well, it isn’t really french in origin, but was invented…

This is a quick and easy thing to do with those little wire tops that hold champagne corks. And with New Year’s Eve coming up, you know you’ll have some of these lying around (unless you buy twist offs, of course!). These would make cute little dollhouse chairs, a neat xmas tree ornament, or just a fun tiny nicknack!
It’s really easy to make… Just remove the wire from the bottom, and transform it into the ‘back’ of the chair. I’ve written up a step by step Instructable HERE!
Don’t Miss the 2008 Project Roundup… Most everything cool on Dabbled last…
