Halloween Food: The Mummy’s Hand..

Halloween Food: The Mummy's Hand..

Happy weekend… this is from several years ago, but it was so good, I thought it deserved a repeat!

My dear creative friend, Chad, made this for the Halloween party …  and was kind enough to give us a tutorial, so we can all make our own!

Braaains! Salmon Brain Dip every Zombie would just die for.

Braaains! Salmon Brain Dip every Zombie would just die for.

Really, Halloween is NOT that far away, and if you’re really into Halloween, like we are around here, it just makes sense to start thinking about things early! So, as part of my new “clean up old stuff on Dabbled” series, I realized that while I gave the recipe for this brain dip as part of a post on the food I created for a previous halloween party, I had not actually pulled it out into a post of it’s own.… [ KEEP READING ]

Just. Too. Awesome. Star Wars Party Food

Just. Too. Awesome. Star Wars Party Food

I’m blown away by the awesomeness of this Star Wars party by Just Jenn. From the cutest lil Princess Leia cupcakes to clever Cloud City Pops, to Yoda Soda (straight from Dagobah!) to Carbonite Jello (complete with Han Solo action figure!), this is a great spread… She even did a deathstar watermelon (remember our deathstar cantaloupe from the Star Wars party this summer)?  There’s bunches more too…

Last week I gave you the run down on making the tartlet shells… they were very easy and inexpensive to make, but if you’re pressed for time, you can use any type of pre-made appetizer shells for this recipe.… [ KEEP READING ]

How to: Make Mini Tart-shells

How to: Make Mini Tart-shells

For a party this weekend, I decided to make some little pies for appetizers.. You’ll have to wait til later this week to see what I fill them with, but here is how I made the tart shells… so easy, and inexpensive!

These can be used for small appetizers (anything you’d do with phyllo shells, for example) or mini desserts.

You’ll need:

  • mini sized muffin pan(s) – My muffin pan is non-stick so I didn’t use any cooking spray or anything.
