oh! and i didn’t even put nonsstick stuff on the inside. I guess the eggs have a natural nonstick coating on te inside. but it peeled off pretty easily.

I did this last night because today is Easter and it was very tedious work but everyone loves them. I suggest to add nonstick spray on the outside before you bake them though because the cake does stick to the eggshell. or at least it did for me.

It actually stuck more at the top, than at the bottom, so if you peel the whole shell off, it comes pretty clean. That’s why I suggested using cooking spray, to get an even coating at the top, rather than trying to drizzle oil inside.

but to answer your question, it wasn’t hard.

What a fabulous idea! I’m thinking of doing them for an Easter egg-and-spoon race for my daughter and her friends. Much more fun than boring old hard-boiled eggs :)
