Note: Fondant is less “stretchy” if it’s cold.

Recommendation for next time:
Cut desired shapes on waxed paper.
Stick in freezer for a minute.
Peel shapes off waxed paper and apply to cake.

If this doesn’t fix it, your fondant has too much water in it.

My favorite cakes to make are always the shaped cakes. So much more interesting than the old standard. :)
