Alright...wish me luck. I'm about to start making our Perry cake for my daughter's 5th birthday on Friday. I'm making the cakes tonight and the fondant. Guess I'd better get crackin'. I'll blog the entire process and the end result. (Yikes).

Thanks so much for the great instructions. It was so hard to find examples of Perry cakes, so I really appreciate you posting about yours. I had never worked with fondant before so the tutorial and recipe was extremely helpful.
We had our Agent P party this afternoon and it was great. I took a few short cuts on the legs, feet and bill. I just cut mine and molded the fondant. I did wrap the fondant on the tail to make it a bit more 3D. I also cut some sheet cake and put it under my loaf pant to make Perry a bit taller. I had good luck using "Duff" (Ace of Cakes) food coloring that I found at Michaels. They had a teal (which I mixed with blue) and gold color in the same box.
Thanks again!
