Thanks for the write-up! I used your tutorial for my son’s costume this year. I got a turquoise hoodie from Rock Bottom T-shirts ( http://www.rockbottomt-shirts.com/Boys/Hoodies-Boys-or-Girls-Hooded-Pull-Over-Sweatshirt-by-LAT-p54.html) the color was a lot lighter than the picture., and nearly perfect in my mind. But they don’t have matching pants, so I ended up with some blue sweats from Target. Thanks especially for the bill instructions. That was the part that reallytumped me.

I’m SO excited! I just completely my 7 yr olds Halloween costume and he’s going to be the hit of the parade as Perry the Platypus (Secret Agent P). Thanks Dabbled! I’d love to show you the finished piece. Where can a e-mail you a picture? Btw, I bought a sewing machine when I was pregnant with my son and I’ve never even opened it! It took me one hour to learn how to thread it and load the bobbin. I’ve never sewed before! The fact that I could do this was so gratifying! Another hint. – I used my son’s orange Crocks and stapled the craft foam onto them for the feet. It worked great and looks awesome! Thanks again!!!!

I love this costume! In fact, my four year old decided he wanted to do this after I showed him the pictures on your blog. Ok, so now I’m wondering how to make the tail. How did you make yours? Do you have a picture of the backside? Thanksso much for your help!

Great idea. I am making the costume for my grandson. I am having trouble finding the right color of green or blue/green sweat pants or fleece fabric . Can you describe the color of green for me. I really like the eyes. The feet and bill was easy to do. Thanks so much.
