Giveaway! Free Postcards from

[13 May 2009 | By | 22 Comment(s) | 3,425 views ]

I spent all last night working with pictures from the past few weeks.. Coming up we have a spotlight on some cool vendors I met at Inman Park Festival a few weeks ago, plus the much anticipated limoncello making… and the candied lemon slices too! And… modding a t-shirt into a girl shirt. And that’s just in the 400 odd pics I was playing with last night! Who knows what else I might have forgotten about.

So, to thank you for your patience, because I know I’m late on all of these, here’s a giveaway for you!

Enter to win 500 Postcards from! Surely you have a use for that, right? Advertise your art or your etsy store? Spam your friends? Use them as christmas cards?

5/17 EDIT: Contest is CLOSED! Thanks for playing and congrats to the winners!

I would use them as sympathy cards when someone dies. I think I have found an untapped marketing outlet.

you’re up, baby! right on my blog!

  • Lindsey [] :

500 cards, huh? I think I would have to just print all my paintings on them with my name and such so I could keep them for personal cards, or hand out as business cards, or sell groups of them on Etsy. Since there are so many, I would most certainly have to make a mosaic out of them, maybe on the coffee table, or in a frame. I’d put single ones in tiny frames and gift them as mini prints, a super fast and personal gift!

I think I’d create “good karma” cards. I’d have them printed up with a variety of phrases like “you rock” “your hair looks good today” “thanks for all you do” “i like your outfit” “i admire you” etc. and keep a stack with me at all times to pass out and mail to friends, family, co-workers, volunteers, and heck – even strangers!

  • Grieg Wehr [] :

let’s see, i could use them at all the events that i photo to promote my photography. I can see the front of them now with a picture of a little boy in the park as the main picture.

  • Joanne [] :

Oh, and I posted you to my blog! Yeah!

Wow, 500? I love taking pictures of plants/flowers/etc, so I would probably just have those printed up to send to family members, friends in other states, etc. Nothing brightens the day like a pretty flower (even if it IS two-dimensional)! Thanks for sponsoring this! :)

  • Rhonda [] :

i could definitely use 500 postcards to showcase my photography! great gieveaway! thanks for offering it.

  • anna [] :

I might send out a bunch of encouraging messages out to strangers in my neighborhood or wherever I go. Every one could use some sort of support, even if it is from someone they don’t know.

  • adrienne [] :

We LOVE using custom postcards. When we moved to this city, we took some photos of ourselves with local signs to announce the move.

When Ranger was born in 2005, we sent out a postcard announcement featuring him in living colors.

Now we need to announce the Raptor’s birth. This time it will probably feature a family portrait as we haven’t had one taken in years.

  • melonkelli [] :

I would make and send cards monthly with photos of my kids. At the end of the year the grandparents would not be able to say that they didn’t get any pictures!

  • indywriter [] :

Hmmm… I have a few different ideas for how I might use them. My family is far flung, and writing a postcard is a lot less pressure for my girls than writing a full letter.

They could be helpful when I make homemade gifts (and I have toyed with opening an etsy store…)

I would also consider using some of them as a border in my daughter’s room.

Closed! Winners to be announced tomorrow!
